6th Grade Creates Greek Pottery

Submitted by teresa.beebe on Thu, 01/14/2016 - 08:15

Around 700 BC, black figure pottery was popular for the Greeks. They used slip, which is a mixture of water and clay, to paint simple shapes onto the pot. The students designed black figure pots using an interactive website to replicate the process of making black figure pottery. Then, the students recreated their design with construction paper and special crayons as an exhibit in the hallway. The students enjoyed being able to see their creativity come to life.
