New Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Hello Larsen Families-

 As you've noticed, we've worked this week to make changes to our student drop off procedures.  This has been a concern for staff, SCC, PTA, and parents for years.  We recently had a parent come to us with an idea that we thought would work, given our short drop off lane and other difficult circumstances that we encounter each morning. Thank you first off to the many patient parents.  We appreciate your smiles, waves, and willingness to help improve things for the safety of all students, and know that it would not work as well as it has without you.  When we see kids hoping out of cars in the middle of the street, or running through the driving lanes, it just brings worries that we could easily have an injured child as a result.  So as we continually work to protect our students, we hope that the extra couple of minutes that it takes to follow our new procedures, will be more than worth it to our families as students will safely arrive at school. The main points of our new procedure:   * . Drive as far toward the end of the lane as possible   * . Have students only exit their vehicle once the car has stopped pass           the final bend in the sidewalk   * .
