5th Grade Attends Christmas Around the World

Attributions:

Fifth Grade had another awesome adventure as they took a virtual tour across the globe, while experiencing the magic of dance at BYU's production of Christmas Around the World. They sat in awe as huge bamboo poles were struck against the ground, women were thrown in the air by men, and many danced on their knees showing quick hands. Many students even met a bunch of the dancers, who talked with them and did tricks for them before the show! They had a wonderful time, and a few hope to join them on that large stage in the Marriott Center someday.

Mountain Man Visits 4th Grade

Larsen 4th Graders have been learning all about the Mountain Men who trapped beaver all over Utah.  To celebrate the end of their unit they had a Mountain Man Rendezvous where they threw buffalo chips, shot straight shooters, measured for a bigfoot, ate delicious scones, and learned how to weave a belt.  The best part of their celebration was meeting a real-life mountain man, named Scott Sorensen!  He shared his incredible stories, amazing pictures, and furs.  He even shot his black powder rifle, with a blank of course!  Thanks Mr. Mountain Man.
