Parents and Pastries

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

Thank you to all the Larsen families that came and supported our Parents and Pastries this morning.  It was a little different fashion from years past but the same smiles of kids reading with parents.  A huge shout out to our PTA for their hard work putting it together.  Keep up all the great reading!

4th Grade Celebrates Pioneer Day

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

Larsen 4th graders have been learning about the history of Utah pioneers and recently held Pioneer Day here at the school.  They dressed up as pioneers, played pioneer games, made a candy covered wagon, sang pioneers songs and learned some square dancing.  It was a fun day to go back in time and learn more about Utah history.

Kindergarten Learns about Insects

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

The kindergarten classes were so lucky to have Lisa Baxter come and teach them more about insects using her amazing microscope! We learned about butterfly wings and how the scales on their wings can sparkle. We also learned that mosquitos use their spit to numb your skin before they suck your blood!

Nebo School District and Tabitha's Way Partnering for Read and Feed Event

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

Nebo is partnering with Tabitha’s Way for a new event called Read & Feed.

The purpose of this event is to encourage children to continue to read during the summer and to educate families facing food insecurity regarding food resources available to them and their children while they are not attending school. Our goal is to gather 10,000 gently used books that children can take home with them and keep to read during the summer.
