Mrs. Shumway, our awesome school counselor, has been teaching students about having a growth mindset. Growth mindset is believing you can improve any skill through hard work and persistent effort. These are attributes that she taught them about:
1- Have a positive attitude.
2- Allow yourself to be challenged.
3- Recognize when you can do better.
4- Celebrate your effort!
5- Be ready to experiment try, fail and try again.
6- Inspire and uplift others.
We are so excited to announce that Mrs. Arrington received the Teacher of the Year Award for Larsen Elementary. She was nominated by faculty and staff for this award and it is a reflection of how much we recognize her hard work and love for her class. She is an amazing teacher who goes the extra mile in helping her students be successful in all they do. Congratulations Mrs. Arrington!
