Larsen students had a very exciting assembly on Tuesday introducing the Champions Challenge.   The Chamions Challenge is a reading program that students can earn rodeo tickets and even a pair of Justin cowboy boots.  The assembly was hosted by Randy Munns (who is a rodeo clown), the Fiesta Days Rodeo Queen, and members of the rodeo commitee.  The students were able to learn about all the events that make a rodeo such as: bull riding, steer wrestling, mutton busting, saddle bronc, bare back and many more.  Larsen 6th grader Travis Terry was chosen to dress up like a rodeo clown and helped out with some tricks.  For the month of March students will get one ticket for every 5 days that they read each week to put in for the drawing.  If students read all 7 days that week then they will receive two tickets to put in for the contest.  Two students out of our school will win a pair of rodeo tickets and a pair of Justin cowboy boots.  There will also be 5 grade winners that will also win a pair of tickets to the rodeo.  THe winners will also get to meet the cowboys and cowgirls at the fairgrounds.  Giddy up kids and let's get reading!  Good luck everyone!
