5th Grade Visits Olympic Park

Submitted by teresa.beebe on
Well, 5th grade is at it again! A short time ago, all of 5th grade went to the Olympic Park in Park City. They had a great time taking a tour and learning many new things about the Olympics and the park itself. Everyone got to go up to the top of some of the jumps and other parts of the park to experience a bit of the thrill that Olympians got to feast on in 2002. They learned that Olympic athletes from all over the world still train there today, and some 5th graders said they'd like to join those elite snow-lovers sometime in the future!

Thank You Veterans!

Larsen Elementary honored those who have served our country in the Armed Forces on Veterans Day.  The American Legion came to our school and shared a message about the brave men and women who fought for the freedoms we enjoy.  Mr. Scoubes and Mr. Cole, who are both teachers at Larsen, have both served in the military.  Thank you Veterans for your service and sacrifice so that we can enjoy a free country.  We love the USA!

Larsen Receives Weather Station

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

Shannon Babb, of Utah County 4-H presented a weather station to Larsen Elementary principal Cami Thomas, and the Larsen 4-H ambassadors. The weather station is sponsored by Utah County 4-H and the Central Utah Water Conservancy District. We will be using it not only to keep track of weather data at our school, but also to compare it to weather data from East Meadows elementary and other schools in the area.

Monsters Have Invaded Larsen

Monsters have invaded our school!  The faculty and staff dressed up as monsters and invited the kids to come into Monster University.  We can't wait to see all the spooky costumes that are at our school today.  Happy Halloween everyone!  The costume parade starts at 12:40.
