4-H Afterschool is excited to announce the 2015-16 4-H Ambassadors!  They are Kim Saili, Sarah Trevino, Tayler Branum, Joshua Jackson, Logan Beckstead, Aubrey Harris, Chloe Phillips, Carter Hulet, Nadia Cadena, Joshua Slaugh, Makaylia Mott and Aaron Lopez (not pictured). Twelve of the top readers from each grade were chosen to participate in a kickball-basketball game for the May reading reward challenge. One grade level team kicked and preceded to run all the bases before the other grade level team in the field scored a basket.   Way to go to all the students that participated! Larsen Elementary has great readers!  Thanks to the 5th grade for organizing this reading reaward!

Larsen 1st grade classes had the opprotunity to visit the Bean Museum at BYU last week.  They learned about all kinds of animals, birds, insects, reptiles and sea life around the world.  It was interesting to see all their different kinds of habitats and food that the animals eat.  There was a live animal show and students at the end of it were able to touch a Ball Python.  It was one WILD field trip! 

We went on an island getaway during this rainy season.  Our first and second grade classes made these beautiful island sunset pictures using different kinds of techniques.  They sure make our hallways seem like we are on summer vacation early.
