UVU Science Assembly was a Blast

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

UVU Professor Merrill Halling and two others from the his department came to Larsen Elementary and showed students just how fun science can be.  They made fireworks in a jar, created elephant toothpaste and blew up some balloons using hydrogen and fire.  It was so exciting to see how chemistry works.  Thank you UVU for coming to our school!

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

Mrs. Eckhardt's kindergarten classes celebrated Nursery Rhyme day.  Each child dressed up like a character from a nursery rhyme, and shared their rhyme with the class.  They also made retelling puppets for several nursery rhymes, and tasted curds and whey.  Way to go Kindergarteners!
