2nd Grade Students Learn A thing Or Two About "Mining"!

Submitted by natalee.hansen on

Larsen 2nd grade students loved their visit to Utah's Kennecott Bingham Copper Canyon Mine in Bingham UT. The 2nd graders were completely amazed at how big the mine actually was.  The huge mine is 2-3/4 miles across at the top and 3/4 of a mile deep. You could stack two Sears Towers on top of each other and still not reach the top of the mine.

Submitted by natalee.hansen on

On October 9th, the first grade was able to go to Cornbelly's Corn Maze at Thanksgiving point on our first field trip of the year! We had such a great time playing on the bounce pads, taking hay rides, watching pig races and picking pumpkins!
It was a fun-filled day full of smiles and good times. Thanks to all of our awesome parent helpers for helping us out on the field trip! Way To go Leopards!

Larsen Students, "Smarter" Than Before!

Submitted by natalee.hansen on

Larsen students are now a little "smarter" than before.  Students recently had a fun assembly where they were instructed by "Netsmartz" on computer and internet safety.   Larsen  students got to watch a fun video and then learned about using the internet and what are the do's and don'ts on giving out information over the internet. Way To Go Leopards!
