Larsen Elementary 5th grade students learn about Native American Culture.

Submitted by natalee.hansen on

Fifth grade students learned about Native Americans by creating a pyramid.  Each student chose a tribe and then had to represent four different sections of that tribe, like where they lived, what they ate, arts and crafts, and other important information they could find.  This activity is a lot of work for the students but the pyramids turned out amazing!  Way To Go Leopards!

The fifth-graders at Larsen Elementary got to meet a real author, Janene Wolsey Baadsgaard.  They participated in her wonderful presentation where they learned about the writing process and even helped her start writing a new story!  The fifth graders learned about what it takes to be a real author and discovered that they all have the potential to be great authors themselves.  Way To Go Leopards!

New student council announced for Larsen Elementary.

Submitted by natalee.hansen on

Larsen Elementary announces its new student body council for the new 2011-2012 school year. This is an exceptional group of individuals! They have worked hard to shine in the classroom and have been outstanding examples of citizenship as well.  They are an extremely friendly group who are anxious to help out, wherever they can.  We are so excited to have these students on this year's student council!  Way To Go Leapords!!
