Birthday Lunch
Continuing this year, the PTA would like to invite you to come eat lunch with your child to celebrate his or her birthday. Birthday lunches will be held on most first Fridays of the month. (With some exceptions for summer birthdays). There will not be a “birthday table” set up this year but you are invited to come find a place in the school to eat lunch with your child. A flyer will be sent home with your child on their birthday month inviting you to come. You can bring your own lunch or pay in the cafeteria for school lunch. It is $4.00 for an adult.
Leopard Spotlight: Mrs. Thomas
Our Leopard Spotlight this week is Mrs. Thomas. She is beginning her 5th year as principal at Larsen Elementary. Here are some fun facts about her:
Favorite Subject in School: Math. She loved math facts growing up.
Hobbies: Reading, playing the piano and anything outside.
Favorite Book/Author: Any mysteries or romance.
Favorite Food: Spaghetti
Favorite Quote: "In a world where you can be anything, be yourself!"
What she loves most about Larsen Elementary is the relationships with staff, students and parents.
Information on Possible Free and Reduced Lunch Reimbursement March-May
Below is a link to the government program Pandemic EBT. The Pandemic-EBT or P-EBT program is a nutrition assistance program for school aged children who were eligible to participate in free or reduced price school meals during the 2019-2020 school year. The Department of Workforce Services and the Utah State Board of Education are working together to issue the P-EBT payment to eligible school aged children. The P-EBT program is intended to provide a one-time, temporary payment to Utah families with eligible school aged children.

Larsen Families-
We've had a great first few days and would just like to share a couple bits of information. Most of the information you will receive applies to At School Learners. If there is specific information for just the Remote Learners, I will clarify that as well.
Back to School!
We were so excited to welcome all of our Larsen students back to school! The children were so excited to see meet their teachers and see friends. It felt so good to be back in classrooms learning new things. Thank you to everyone who helped us prepare and get ready for students and teachers to come back. It's going to be a great year to be a Larsen Leopard!
Larsen Open House Reminder and Message from our PTA

To continue our practice of social distancing, we are suggesting that your family comes during the assigned time below. Just a reminder that masks will be required. If you don't have a mask, we will have some available for you to use.

Those of you that are doing remote learning, you will be having that Zoom.
Kindergarten Pre-Assessment Times
Kindergarten parents-please choose a time for a pre-assessment for your child. Students will come one at a time with a parent, and will meet in Mrs. Eckhardt's room. Masks will be required. If you don't have a mask, we will have some available for you to use.

Back to School Information
Larsen Families-
We are very excited to welcome you back into our school again and look forward to a unique, but great year! School will begin August 19th for 1st-6th Grade, and August 26th for Kindergarten students. School starts at 9:00am.
