Larsen Parents,
We have a few exciting events coming up that we need help with! The success of the events is dependent on your support as we try to develop a positive environment for the students and staff at Larsen Elementary. Please volunteer for the following activities.
Monday Oct 10 Fun Run from 1:30-2:30pm at the Larsen Field
Larsen Elementary students showed off their school spirit last week. Our theme this year is about being a CHAMPION. Champion stands for Courage, Honor, Attitude, Motivation, Perseverance, Integrity, Optimism and Never giving up. Each student received a pin to wear during this week. We also had a coloring contest and dress up days. Thank you Mrs. Shumway for putting it all together. Larsen students are CHAMPIONS!

Attendance is an essential component to a students educational success. Larsen Elementary would like to ensure that your student has the best possible educational opportunities and their attendance is a major factor in that.
Here are some of the policies regarding attendance at our school:
1- If your student is tardy, you may excuse that tardy within 2 days. They will need to check in at the office before they head to class.
October is our favorite month here at Larsen! Here is a list all the activities and dates to remember.
We want to help you promote the love of reading in your community.
Libraries, schools, and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for support to host their own Mini Reading Marathon. Support ranges from $100-500.
When you’re studying pumpkins, you HAVE to research their taste as well. Today was possibly the students’ favorite day of research for our informational writing.
On Monday, October 10th from 1:30-2:30 pm Larsen PTA is sponsoring a fun run! We invite all students to set a goal of how many laps around the field they would like to run and to find sponsors (parents, grandparents, neighbors) to donate to our school. This is the ONLY fundraiser we will do this year, and every dollar raised benefits our students and teachers. Parents, you are invited to come cheer on your child as they earn colored bracelets for each lap they run and slide down inflatables!
