Thank you to all the parents/volunteers who made the Book Fairs this year HUGE successes! We are excited that so many books made their way into students' hands! We were able to purchase books for Parents and Pastries and for the school library with scholastic dollars and parent round up donations! Here are a just a few of the new books that will soon be available at the school library.

Fourth graders enjoyed their field trip at This Is The Place Heritage Park on Friday! They danced the Virginia Reel in the social hall, learned about leather-making at the saddle shop, explored the visitor center, and learned what it was like to be a student in a one-room schoolhouse. It was a blast!
Congratulations to Mrs. Empey and Ms. Roberts on their graduation from BYU! We are so proud of them and all their accomplishments.
Second grade learned how to be a good friend with the district drama specialist Ben Sansom and puppet Sally!

Here are the dates for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade track meets. They will be held at Spanish Fork High School's football field and track. Parents (except if assigned to help with a class) must be sitting in the visitor (east) bleachers and should not be in the home (west) bleachers or on the football field.

Larsen kindergarteners held their annual Humpty Dumpty Egg Drop on Friday. Each student wraps up a hard boiled egg in a way that they think it will not get broken when dropped from the roof of the school. There were so many creative ways they came up with to protect their eggs. Students wrapped them in boxes, tied balloons to it, made a cage around it and wrapped it in a few other ways. Many eggs survived but a few did get some cracks but it was such a fun activity either way. Great job kindergarteners!
We just wanted to give a HUGE shout out to our awesome PTA! They have worked so hard for our school, teachers, staff and students this year. The PTA has put together monthly munchies for the staff, volunteered for many different events and in classes, provided dinners for teachers at SEP's and so many other things behind the scenes. Larsen Elementary truly thanks you for everything you do. Our PTA is the best!
