In 1st Grade we have been learning about community helpers. Mrs. Henderson came to tell us all about being a nurse. We are thankful for our community helpers.

Larsen 4th graders had an awesome first term full of many learning experiences. Here are a few of the projects that they did. Great job students on all your hard work!
SEP conferences are being held on Thursday, October 21st. Each teacher will be sending you a link to sign up for a time slot. Please email your students teacher if you haven't received the link. We hope to see you all there!
Just a quick reminder that Fall Break is Oct. 14-15th. No school will be held this Thursday and Friday. We hope you all enjoy the time off with your friends and family.
It was game time at Larsen today when the MMHS football players came to visit. Players went into different classes and read books, played games and did various other activities. Four of the players either went to Larsen previously, had siblings there now or even both. Students were so excited to have them in their classrooms. Thank you football players for taking the time to come and visit us!
We are excited that Mrs. Warren is the new librarian at Larsen Elementary this year. During library time this week, classes got to read a story by the "campfire". It was so fun to gather around and listen to a book. Thank you Mrs. Warren for making reading exciting and teaching students to love books.
Larsen 3rd graders had the opportunity to visit many of the amazing places in our town today. They were able to go to the police station, library, bank and other buildings. Students learned from workers at each station about what they do and why it is important. One of the Spanish Fork police officers was even a student that attended Larsen Elementary when he was young. Then they got to eat lunch at the park just before the rain started. We live in a great town!
You've still got time to get your kids' projects entered for Reflections!
Projects are due OCTOBER 11th by midnight!
Right now there are less than 30 entries and we'd love to see more projects from the talented kids at Larsen! And as always, EVERYONE who enters gets to join us at our Ice Cream Party October 27th! Those that win, get prizes and a chance to move on to the next level of the competition!
Parents and Guardians,
With a 60-80% chance of rain and predicted lightning storms in the forecast, we need to postpone our fun run that was planned for tomorrow. We are planning on holding the event next Wednesday, October 13th from 2:00-3:15. Thank you for your understanding and your patience. We are excited for the chance to run together.
If you available to volunteer for a few upcoming events, I have included a sign up genius link. Thank you to our PTA who have created these sign ups and for coordinating all of these events.
Student council camp at BYU was a success. These students listened to presenters on leadership. What a great group of kids!
