Larsen Book Fair

The book fair at Larsen Elementary will be held Dec. 11th-14th.  It will be open from 9-11 AM and after school from 2:45-3:30 PM.  It will also be open all night during Parent Teacher Conferences on the 13th.  It would be a great idea to give books as Christmas gifts.

The PTA is also in need of volunteers to help with the book fair.  Here is a link to sign up if you can help.

Burrrrrr its Cold Outside

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

The winter season is now upon us now and we are gearing up for the cold weather.  We wanted to remind everyone that most days we will still be having outside recesses.  Please make sure that students dress warm and bring their coats so they don't freeze.  Happy Holidays!

Larsen Elementary was well represented at the PTA region reflections contest.  This years theme was "Heros Around Me".  We wanted to congratulate the following students on their awards:

3D Art Award of Merit:  Evelyn Gause

VIsual Art Award of Merit:  Kaesia Wagstaff

Visual Art Award of Excellence:  Lexi Jackson

Lexi Jackson will now move onto State with her entry on November 29th.  Great job students!

Thank You Veterans

Larsen Elementary was honored to have some brave veterans from The American Legion come to our school today. The veterans spoke about patriotism, bravery and love for our country. Students were so happy to have Mr. Scoubes come back also and talk to all the students about his experiences from being in the military.  Our own Larsen choir sang "Thank You Military" and "I Love America" to the veterans and then the whole student body stood up and sang "God Bless the USA".

Halloween Fun

Larsen Elementary had a spectacularly spooky Halloween!  The parade was full of witches, superheros, monsters, army men, vampires and so many others.  The school was sure full of Disney villians too! Thank you to all the PTA helpers with the class parties also.
