Red Ribbon Week Begins March 5th

This years Red Ribbon Week will be held March 5th-9th.  The theme is "Be a Superhero... Have the Power to Say No to Drugs."  On the flyer is listed the daily themes and what to wear on that day.  We hope everyone will participate and make it a great week.  The Red Ribbon Pledge is: "I want to enjoy my life and be the best that I can be.  I pledge to be healthy.  I will not use illegal drugs.  I pledge to say NO to drugs!  I will take care of my body and live a drug-free, happy and healthy life."

5th and 6th Grade Science Fair

Larsen Elementary held it's science fair last week and boy did we have some amazing science experiments!   Those students who will move on to the district are as follows:  Ben Spencer, Allison Slaugh, Emma Thompson, Tanner Despain, Jared Kober, Rylan Wilkinson, Tyler Phelps, Nic Patchett, Mara Tolman, Daniel Cooper, William Stoneman, Ethan Knotts, Jaron Beebe and Olivia Greer.  Great job scientists!

Mrs Eckhardt Receives the Crystal Apple Award

It is no suprise to anyone how amazing Mrs. Eckhardt is.  She is a dedicated teacher, an awesome co-worker and the greatest mother to her 4 daughters.  Mrs. Eckhardt received the Crystal Apple Award for Larsen Elementary today.  This award is given for all of her hard work and many hours spent on helping students learn and succeed.  Congratulations Mrs Eckhardt!  You are one in a million.

Spring Pictures Tomorrow

Just a reminder that February 13th are Spring Pictures.  Packets were sent home but we do have extras in the office.  Students need to have their money with them or have paid online.  Call the office if you have any other questions.

4th Grade Studies Dinosaurs

Larsen 4th graders have been studying about dinosaurs.  They have learned about where they lived, what kind of habitat, what they ate and all sorts of other stuff.  They even made these salt dough dino-ramas.  Great job 4th graders.  You are "Dino"mite!

Mrs Gleaves 2nd Grade Class Spreads Kindness

Mrs. Gleaves 2nd grade class spread some kindness to our wonderful lunch lady Mrs. Weight.  They brought her flower, her favorite drink and made a card for her.  Mrs. Gleave is always doing nice things for the faculty and students here at Larsen and it brightens everyone's day.  Thank you Mrs. Gleave for spreading kindness in our school and teaching kids how to be good friends.
