Larsen Elementary would like to thank Zions Bank for donating dictionaries for each 3rd grade student. These dictionaries are so helpful to students in their writing and spelling. Thank you Zions Bank for helping our students!
Mrs. Eckhardt's afternoon kindergarten class got a special treat. Mike and Marlene Lauritzen, whose granddaughter Sadie Reavis is in the class, came to sing Christmas carols and tell stories to the class. The pair have made it a family tradition to go and sing Christmas songs with the class of each of their grandchildren when they are in kindergarten.
Larsen Elementary students had a very fun Christmas Sing-A-Long with some special visitors. We had Santa, some of the reindeer, Buddy the Elf, and The Grinch come and spread some holiday cheer. Mr. Andersen even got to sit on Santa's lap. It was a holly jolly time! Merry Christmas from everyone here at Larsen!
Larsen 3rd graders had a great time creating some really "sweet" gingerbread houses. There was so much candy to choose from that each house was different. The students were so creative and had so much fun! Thanks to the 3rd grade teachers and all the parent voulunteers for helping the kids decorate the gingerbread houses! Merry Christmas!!
The students at Larsen earned another fun reading reward activity for the month of November. Our fearless leader, Mr. Andersen, was the lucky person to get pies thrown at him while wearing silly costumes that the students picked out. One student from each class was able to throw a pie at the principal. It was really fun and Mr. Andersen sure got a lot of whipped cream on him! Keep up the good reading!! Thank you Mr. Andersen for being a good sport and thank you 1st grade teachers for putting it together!
