The 21st annual Great Salt Lake Bird Festival is pleased to announce the 2019 Student Art Contest and Student Photography contests. These contests are open to Utah students Pre-K through 12 grade and offer cash awards.
Discovery Gateway’s Potential Energy program came to teach the the kindergarten classes about push, pull, roll and slide using fun science experiments. A big thanks to Discovery Gateway for this fun program!
Larsen Elementary 2nd-6th graders got to go to the BYU Marriott Center and watch the womens basketball team play St. Mary's along with a few other schools from our district. Students had a blast cheering loud for the Cougars.
Panda Express came again to Larsen and taught students about the Chinese New Year celebrations. The kids were excited about the fortune cookies, crafts and meeting the panda. Thank you Panda Express for taking the time to come and teach us traditions from another country.
Mr. Peterson our digital coach stopped in Mrs. Eckhardt’s class to help the kindergarteners use digital ten frames to learn more about addition.
The afterschool 4H MathCounts team competed at BYU on Saturday, February 2. We are so proud of them!

Larsen Elementary Family Skate Night at Classic Skating will be held on Monday, February 4th from 5:30-8:30 PM. It is FREE admission for families but a small fee for skate rentals. We hope to see you all there!
Larsen 5th and 6th grade student scientists showed off their experiements to classes and parents on Friday. The students that will move on to the district level are: Brooke Ridge, Allison Slaugh, Benjamin Spencer, Jared Kober, Emery Adams, Tanner Despain, Manny Medina, Josiah Gardner, Mylee York, Abbie Hall, Brayden Stoddard, and Kamrey Robinson and Arie Bunce.
