Larsen 1st graders went on a fun, Fall field trip to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. They played in Corn Cob Beach, went on a hayride, jumped on the Jumbo Jumpers, watched pigs race, and walked through the corn maze. Each class got to take a pumpkin back to their classroom too. 1st graders are ready for Fall y'all!
Kindergarters were so excited for their first field trip of the year. They got to ride on a bus for the first time too and visited Canyon View Park. The classes had many fun activities planned while they were there. They found leaves and did leaf rubbings, found rocks and wrote their names on them, did water experiments and of course got to play on the playground. Thank you Mrs. Eckhardt, Mrs. Murphy and and all the other helpers that made this day so fun!
Larsen students were excited to have some of the football players from MMHS come read books to them, answer questions and even play a little soccer game. What was awesome also is that 4 of the players were Larsen Leopards too when they were younger. We appreciate them coming and helping students see that school is cool!
Larsen 3rd graders had a very busy field trip yesterday. They visited the Bean Museum, saw a reptile show and went on a nature hike by Brial Veil Falls. It was quite an adventure and they learned a lot of cool facts about reptiles. Thank you 3rd grade teachers and parent helpers for making the field trip a huge success!
We are having Penny Wars between the grades starting tomorrow Sept. 8th. Larsen Elementary is raising money for the many victims of the recent hurricanes. Please feel free to send in your pocket change to support this great cause. Thanks for all the support!
The PTA is starting the 7 Habits to Highly Effective Families classes tonight at Larsen Elementary. The class goes from 6:30-7:30 PM. All Adults are welcome to attend. Please remember to bring a notebook and pen. We hope to see you all there!
