Parents and Guardians,
School is quickly approaching. The faculty and staff have been working tirelessly to gear up for an amazing year! We are so excited to have the students back at school. We miss the energy and excitement that the kids bring to our days.
By way of announcements, here are a few reminders before school begins:
Open House:
We know that many students benefit from meeting their teacher, seeing their classroom and even finding their desk prior to school starting. To get kids excited and reduce the anxiety about school starting, we will be holding a Larsen Elementary Open House on Aug. 17 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Our teachers will be super busy preparing for the first day, so we ask that you come during that designated time. Thank You!
First Day of School: First day for grades 1-5 is August 18th. First day for Kindergarten students is August 25th.
Starting Times: A reminder that the times for school have changed for next year. School will be starting at 9:15. We will dismiss at 3:30 on T-F. Monday will still be our early out day and school will dismiss at 2:45. This change is due to the new middle school and bussing routes.
Kindergarten Schedule:
AM: Monday: 9:15am-11:30am, Tuesday-Friday: 9:15am-11:50am
PM: Monday: 12:30pm-2:45pm, Tuesday-Friday: 12:55pm-3:30pm
Teacher Assignments:
For those that have completed the registration process, you will be able to see your child’s teacher assignment in the iCampus Parent Portal. Directions on how to view teacher assignments:
- Go to www.nebo.edu
- Click on Parents Tab
- Click on Infinite Campus Parent Portal
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Click the schedule tab on the left hand side of the screen and view teacher
- If you have multiple children attending Nebo School District schools, you can change the student you are looking for by using the arrow in the right hand corner of your screen
Please let us know if you have any problems finding teacher assignments.
Preschool: Open House for Preschool is August 31st. Please look for information from Mrs. Olsen. School starts Either September 1st or September 2nd, depending on your student's schedule.
AM class schedule: 9:30am-12:00pm
PM class schedule: 12:30pm-3:00pm
Breakfast and Lunch:
For those that have not heard, the federal government will continue to allow us to offer breakfast and lunch for free! Therefore, you will not need to worry about paying lunch money again this year. We will not be doing "to go" sack lunches.
Lunch Changes:
Because school is starting later this year, lunch will also be starting at a later time. In addition, we are developing a new practice where the students will have adequate time to eat without the concern of making it out to recess too quickly. We will make sure students have every opportunity to eat until they are full.
