Leprechauns Make A Mess in 1st Grade
Leprechauns visited the first grade classrooms and made a big mess! Many awesome traps were set but we didn't catch a Leprechaun. They left some gold for the students though. Better luck next year.

Parent/Teacher Conferences Held March 16th
We are going to have Parent/Teacher Conferences using a Walking Report Card on Thursday, March 16th. Please come between 3:00- 5:00 PM or 5:30 - 7:30 PM. Teachers have their dinner from 5:00 - 5:30 PM and will not be in the classroom between that time. Parents and their students will go to several stations to demonstrate a few concepts they have learned this year. Walking Report Cards will allow you as parents to see first-hand what your students can now do or even areas that they may need some extra help. Teachers are available to answer any questions as well. See you there!
K-12 Student Innovator of the Year
K12 Student Innovator of the Year is an innovation competition for students in grades 4 - 12. All you have to do to compete is invent a novel (but useful) product, system, or service, and come ready to pitch it to a panel of judges (think of this like a Shark Tank experience). There are 3 categories: elementary (grades 4 - 6), junior high (grades 7 - 9), and high school (grades 10 - 12). Over $6000 in cash prizes will be awarded. The deadline for signup is March 14th.

Book Fair March 14-16
Our Happy Camper book fair is coming soon! Join us after school March 14-16 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. and during parent teacher conferences to pick out a book for your child. Your purchase helps us provide free books for our library, our classrooms and our students.
Dr Seuss We Love You
March 2nd is Dr. Seuss Day and Larsen Elementary wanted to celebrate all of the amazing stories that he wrote for kids to enjoy. Each class had different activities during the day, a class photo booth with Dr. Seuss props and also special prizes awarded from the office. We ended the day with a fun assembly where the staff acted out "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish". The students laughed the whole time and some performances were definitely Oscar worthy. A special thanks to Mrs. Greene for all her hard work and planning. Happy Dr. Seuss Day!
Parents and Pastries
Mark your calendar for the morning of March 14th for Parents and Pastries. It will be held from 7:30-8:30 AM. This fun activity is for all students and parents of Larsen Elementary. Come enjoy reading a book with your kids and eating yummy donuts! Thank you Larsen families for all your support.
