5th Grade Create Stained Glass Windows

Submitted by teresa.beebe on Wed, 12/06/2017 - 12:13

Larsen Elementary looks forward every year to when our 5th graders create these stained glass windows.  They are our favorite Christmas decorations here at school.  These are made by cutting out the design in black construction paper and then adding colored tissue paper.  Drive by our school and look how beautiful and festive they are.

Miss Spanish Fork Visits Larsen

Larsen Elementary had the opportunity to have Miss Spanish Fork, Dexonna Talbot, come and visit.  She talked to the students about her platform which is about service. Students came up with some ways to serve others and make the world a better place.  It doesn't matter how small the act of service is or how big it is.  It all makes a difference.

Kindergarten Sock Day

Submitted by teresa.beebe on Tue, 12/05/2017 - 12:36

Kindergarteners had an exciting day celebrating Sock Day.  They all spent the whole day wearing socks and participated in some fun activities.  Each student measured their feet, wrote about them and read some books.  All the students decided its way more fun to just wear socks and no shoes!

1st Grade Learns About Fire Safety

Submitted by teresa.beebe on Tue, 12/05/2017 - 12:15

Larsen 1st graders  had the opportunity to meet 2 Spanish Fork City firefighters and learn about fire safety.  The classes learned to have a fire plan at their homes to keep safe,  when to call 911 and they even got to tour through the fire truck.  Each student was given a safety book to take home too.   Thank you for keeping us safe fire fighters!
