We are excited for our school to participate in the Fiesta Days Rodeo Reading Challenge during the month of March.  Each class will have a reading goal, and each student that reaches that goal for the month will be entered in a drawing for two free tickets to the Fiesta Days Rodeo in July.  There will be one winner from each grade level.  Two students will be grand prize winners, and will win rodeo tickets, boots, a hat, and jeans.  We will be tracking reading minutes as a school.

4th grader Dominic dressed up as Fudge from the Superfudge book, for dress-up-like-a-book-character day. He’s doing a great job helping to promote the read-a-thon and his outfit is so original!  There were so many fun book characters walking around Larsen today.  It was a great way to see how much kids love to read.  Way to go students!

Our SEP conferences will be held today, February 26th from 3-5 and then 5:30-7:30 PM.  This conference will be a walking report card format so there will not be individual times scheduled for each student.  Students and parents may come anytime during the times listed above.  It is a student lead conference where they will show their parents some of the amazing things they have been learning in class.  We hope to see you all there!

We hope to see our Larsen families at our skate night tonight!  It will be held from 5:30-8:30 PM at Classic Skating in Orem.  Come and spend a great night with friends and family!  

We are having a Read A Thon!! Our goal is to encourage your students love of reading while raising funds for our school.  You can just make a one time donation of any amount, or you can pledge 5 cents per minute read.  Whatever works for your family.  If you can't donate we totally understand.  We would love all students to participate.  We will be awarding classes with the most minutes read.  The Read A Thon will run Feb 17-28.  

Just a reminder that there will be no school held Monday, February 17th for Presidents Day.  School will be back in session on Tuesday.  Have a fun and safe holiday!
