The second graders enjoyed a fun filled day at the Lehi Hutchings Museum for their fall field trip! There were lots of artifacts that showed the second graders what life was like during different time periods. They also got to see lots of rocks and fossils found all over Utah. Before we headed back to school we stopped to eat our lunch at North Park. It was a great day!
Larsen 5th grade students have been very busy lately. They recently worked on a history unit about different Native Indian tribes. Each student selected a tribe and made a 3-D diorama about the tribe they had selected. Some of the tribes they were able to choose from were; Navajo, Cherokee, Chinook, Aztec, Makah and many more. The students did an amazing job and they are all very creative! Great job 5th Grade!!
On Wednesday, September 4, we had a special guest come and do an assembly for us. Paul the Reading Magician came and taught us about the importance of reading. He did lots of magic tricks that really got the crowd excited. Paul came to kick-off our Road to Success Reading Program that our school is participating in. With Road to Success students register and track their reading online. Students had a lot of fun too! Way To Go Leopards!!
On August 30th we were privileged to have Mr. Osmond who works with Richard Paul Evans come and do an assembly to teach our students about the importance of reading. This assembly was sponsored by Richard Paul Evans, the author of the Michael Vey series books. Mr. Osmond had lots of eager students and teachers volunteer to participate in a game show and answer questions about books they had read. Way To Go Leopards!
