Submitted by natalee.hansen on Thu, 10/31/2013 - 14:34

Larsen students had a fun filled day for Halloween. Students, teachers, staff and parents had a blast with our annual costume parade while viewing all of the creative costumes.  We had many visitors throughout the school today. Nurses, Dr.'s, witches, pirates, zombies, frankenstein and superheroes filled the halls and we even had celebrities from Duck Dynasty visit us as well. We ended our fun filled day with class parties and lots of treats and goodies. A big thank you to all of the class helpers who made our Halloween day possible.  WAY TO GO LEOPARDS!!

Larsen recently held their 2nd annual bookmark contest where each student had the opportunity to create and draw a bookmark.  5 winners were chosen from the entries and the winning entries will be copied for  the rest of the students to each have one. The winners each received a brand new book where they will be able to put those bookmarks to good use. We have very talented boys and girls at Larsen Elementary and we want to thank all of those who participated and congratulations to all of the winners. A huge THANK YOU to Mrs.

Submitted by natalee.hansen on Mon, 10/21/2013 - 12:38

Red Ribbon Week started off with "Wear Red Monday". The color red represents courage and our Larsen Leopards all have the courage to say "NO" to drugs! Tuesday was "Crazy Sock Day", and students wore crazy and funny socks to encourage all of our friends to not be bullies and stay away from drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. Wednesday the students dressed up like their favorite hero and also made pledge banners which all of the students sighned lined our school halls!  Thursday was  "Hat Day"!

The first grade had a great time at Cornbelly's on their recent fieldtrip.  We went on hay rides, jumped on a huge pillow, found our way through the maze, and returned to Larsen with our own pumpkins! Way to go Leopards!

Submitted by natalee.hansen on Mon, 10/14/2013 - 12:09

During PE time in school the students play a game where they build castles,  so some of our 4H students in the Open Gym 4H class thought they would see how they could build a castle without it falling making it 4 castles high. The students had alot of fun building it. Some of the other activities in our 4H Open Gym class include Lacrosse, hockey and basketball.  Way to go Leopards!!
