Submitted by natalee.hansen on Fri, 05/09/2014 - 14:40

Wednesday May 7, 2014 we had the privilege of hearing our own Larsen Sixth Grade Orchestra perform in an assembly for our entire student body.  Their teacher is Kim Derfler.  They performed favorites such as "Ode to Joy" and "Cannon in D."   Gianna Paice played "Part of Your World," from "The Little Mermaid" on her violin.  The orchestra has greatly improved since we last saw them at Christmas time. WAY TO GO LEOPARDS!!

Kindergarteners Do A Little " Egg Dropping"

Submitted by natalee.hansen on Fri, 05/09/2014 - 14:19

Our Larsen Elementary Kindergarteners helped Easter "Drop" in by holding their annual Easter egg hunt and egg drop. They started by finding hidden eggs around the playground and then we were excited to watch the egg drop contest begin!! At home, each student has to put their egg in something to try and make his/her egg unbreakable when it drops from Larsens roof. The students are very creative, wrapping their eggs in sponges, bubble wrap, toilet papaer, shoes, boxes and many more crazy and fun things.  Mr. V and Mr. Andersen helped out by dropping the packages from the roof.
