Halloween Parade

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

It's almost that time for our spooky Halloween parade.  It will be October 31st at 1:00 PM.  Parents can stand in the front of the school on the grassy area and line around the drop off zones to watch.   Please keep the sidewalks clear so that students can walk around on them.  We are so excited to see all the witches, super heros, ghosts and all the other characters that day.  Please remember no masks or weapons with their costumes.

4th Grade Visits Jordenelle Dam

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

The fourth graders were invited on a field trip to the Jordanelle Dam this week! We learned about how important the dam is to our county, how the engineers at the dam control the water temperature, the amount of water allowed down the mountain, and drought prevention. We went inside the dam and saw the giant cylinders that control the water. The students loved throwing balls down the 300 ft drop from the top of the dam to the bottom, and riding the elevator! Thank you Central Utah Water Conservancy District!

Stand 4 Kind Assembly

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

Stand 4 Kind members came to Larsen and gave an amazing assembly full BMX bike tricks, jumps, and other stunts.  Their assemblies are designed to raise anti-bullying awareness, increase prevention, and encourage students to speak up when they know of situations that pose a danger to themselves or others.  It was so much fun and the students loved when they jumped over some of our teachers.  We know that Larsen students will be kind to others and treat everyone with respect.

It's that time of year already for SEP conferences on October 9th. Thanks and we look forward to meeting with you!
