Kindergarteners Celebrate A Quilt Day
The kindergarteners at Larsen Elementary celebrated a special “Quilt Day” at school by bringing their quilts, wearing their jammies, and drinking hot chocolate.
Students got to choose if they wanted their hot chocolate plain, with whipped cream, or with marshmallows. Students in Mrs. Eckhardt’s classes, and in Mrs. Hyer’s class rounded out the day by playing a quilt game while sitting on their quilts.
Larsen holds their annual Christmas Choir Concert
Larsen Elementary held their annual Christmas Choir Concert on Dec. 2, 2010. Eighty students from 5th and 6th grade performed favorites such as “Hot Cup of Cocoa,” “Holiday Blessings,” “Joy in Jerusalem,” and more for students and parents. They even played hand bells for a couple musical numbers. It was a great evening! These dedicated students practice before and afterschool several times a week. The choir directors are Julie Peery and Dawn Graham.
