Mrs. Eckhardt received a grant from the Nebo Education Foundation for $864 to use for technology in her classroom. We are excited for our kindergarteners who will benefit tremendously from this. Thank you Nebo Education Foundation for helping Larsen students be successful!
Mrs. Terry is new to Larsen Elementary this year but knows it very well. Her children were students here when they were younger so she has really been a part of our school for a long time. We are very excited to have her teaching 5th grade. Here are some more fun facts about her:
Favorite Subject in School: Social Studies
Hobbies: Running and eating
Favorite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Favorite Food: Chips and salsa
Favorite Drink: DIet Coke with lime
Larsen 2nd graders performed a spooktacular program for their parents on Halloween. They sang songs about haunted houses, pumpkins, ghosts and so many other scary things while dressed in their costumes. Great job 2nd graders on making our Halloween so much fun!
This month as we celebrate the thankfulness and gratitude we feel, I would like to offer thanks to the business partner who is providing our two Classic Skate Nights at no cost to us. Holey Bricks owners, Justin and Holly Frasché, covered the cost so that Larsen families can go and enjoy two nights of skating and fun together. Thanks for your thoughtfulness and kindness to our Larsen Community. We are sure to have a great time! The first skate night will be held November 18th so mark your calendars. More information will be coming.
Larsen Elementary loves to celebrate Halloween and yesterday was no exception. The school was decorated like Whoville and all the staff was dressed as characters from the beloved book "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" and other Dr. Seuss books. When the kids entered into the school, they walked into a snow storm and then the magical world of Whoville. It was so fun to see the kids faces smiling and hear their laughter. We hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween!
Our Halloween Parade is going to be at 1:00 PM. Parents can stand on the grass square in front or line along the drop off lane. We are so excited to see all the costumes! Please remember also no masks or weapons are allowed. It will be sooktacular!
Our GAINS Dance Specialist helped some of our Larsen students make a sedimentary rock through body movements. They have been studying the different types of rocks and this was a really fun way to help them learn.
