Submitted by teresa.beebe on

Larsen 1st graders got the chance to visit Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point on a field trip.  Students were able to get lost in the maze, play in Corn Cobb Beach, ride on the Grain Train and so much more.  It was a fall adventure full of giggles and fun!  Thank you teachers and parents who helped make all the fun possible.

5th Grade Colonial Days

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

During Colonial Days, the 5th grade had the opportunity to create Horn Books in the classroom. Horn Books were used by Colonists to learn the alphabet and how to read. Each student got the chance to experience writing with a quill and ink--they practiced Colonial penmanship and used those skills to create their Horn Books. The highlight (pun intended) of Colonial Days was making candles with hot wax. The kids enjoyed seeing their creations completely set the next day. We all had a blast!

The second grade was lucky enough to get to go to Farm Field Days in Lehi. They started the day off with lunch and play time at North Park here in Spanish Fork. After all the students got their wiggles out they traveled to Lehi. Once they got to Lehi and unloaded all the students they were able to watch three Border Collies herd some sheep. It was so cool! Then they learned about bees, 3D printing, the different breeds of milk cows and many other things. 2nd grade even got to see a mini horse and her baby, some pigs and a chicken.
