Laurie Harrop-Purser, a faculty member in the theater department at UVU, came to Larsen Elementary's reading assembly to inspire the students to read. She retold the story "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" in a very fun, theatrical way. The students loved it. Thank you Ms. Harrop-Purser for helping us see how fun reading a book can be!
Register for 4-H Afterschool Christmas Around the World. Choose Session 1 (Dec 5-9) OR Session 2 (Dec 12-16). Each session meets five times, every day after school for 1 week. Students will learn about how different countries celebrate Christmas as they make crafts, try new foods, and learn about different cultures! Many students at Larsen Elementary participated in the PTA Reflections contest this year. The theme was "What is Your Story" and the catergories were: Dance , Literature, Film, Music, Photography, and Visual Arts. The kids really used their imagination and came up with some amazing stories. Thanks for all your hard work students and PTA.
Larsen Elementary had an assembly today where they learned all about different types of music. Music Makers came and helped students see how fun music can be.
