The second grade was lucky enough to get to go to Farm Field Days in Lehi. They started the day off with lunch and play time at North Park here in Spanish Fork. After all the students got their wiggles out they traveled to Lehi. Once they got to Lehi and unloaded all the students they were able to watch three Border Collies herd some sheep. It was so cool! Then they learned about bees, 3D printing, the different breeds of milk cows and many other things. 2nd grade even got to see a mini horse and her baby, some pigs and a chicken.

Larsen Elementary students sure started off the new school year by showing that they love to read!  We celebrated their successful daily reading goals with an exciting assembly.  Each teacher picked 2 students from their class that had read their daily minutes to participate in some fun games.  The games they got to play were Define Gravity, Catch A Cloud, Use Your Noodle and Stinky Feet.  Keep up the good reading habits!

Our school carnival was a huge success!!  Thank you to all who came and supported Larsen Elementary, those who volunteered, and all those that donated items.  A special thanks especially to the PTA for organizing the whole carnival.  Larsen has the BEST students, staff, parents and PTA.

Our 5th graders put together projects to show what it was like to live as a Native American. Their displays included 3D homes, hunting habits, food, and landscaping. Each project depicted one of ten different tribes from all over North and Central America. Some of those tribes include the Navajos, Hopis, Aztecs, Mayans, etc. 

Larsen 3rd graders had an awesome experience at the Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point.  There are five main exhibit areas: Rainforest, Water Works, Kidopolis, Discovery Garden and Traveling Exhibits.   Students learned many interesting facts and had a great time finding their way through the Rainforest.

4-H registration opens Friday September 9 at 7:00 am.  To register click on the link below and register online.  We are not able to take payments online at this time, please send payment to the office in an envelope marked with your child's name and the club or clubs registered for.  Each club is just $10.00. Checks should be made out to Larsen Afterschool 4-H.
