This week we are celebrating our amazing teachers here at Larsen Elementary.  Our PTA members and parent helpers decorated the classroom doors to start the week off.  Each one turned out a"door"able!  We are so grateful for all the time and effort that our fabulous teachers put into making sure that students get the best education possible.  Thank you teachers for making Larsen Elementary so awesome!

March Reading Reward: Larsen Olympics

Submitted by teresa.beebe on
Larsen students celebrated all their great reading in the month of March by participating in the Larsen Olympics. The total number of reading minutes recorded was 192,298. It was an amazing effort by all grades. Our 6th grade team put together some fun challenges for each grade to compete in. Students had to roll an orange with their nose down the floor, wrap a friend like a mummy, peel a banana behind you back, balance a balloon between partners and jump into Olympic rings. Our Olympians had the best cheering sections around.

March Madness Assembly

Submitted by teresa.beebe on

For our "March Madness" activity, Larsen school students participated in a month long initiative to promote College and Career Readiness culminating in a "jeopardy" style assembly where students answered questions and shot baskets for points.  The questions were about different colleges mascots, colors, teams, stats and rankings etc.   Thank you Ms. B for helping students see how important it is to start preparing for college and their futures.
